Emelie has been updating a blog with pictures from her life as well as pictures that inspire for a while now, but I never posted it in case she wanted some privacy. Brina has let me know that Emelie doesn’t mind if it’s shared! So click here to check it out, but be warned that there’s quite a few pictures that are NSFW.
A new part of Anna Kopito’s project with Anaïs has been posted to her blog:
Anaïs for Anna Kopito
This spring I want to wear clothing, shoes and accessories from Rag & Bone, Isabel Marant, Alexander Wang and Acne. I want to wear floral jeans from Citizens of Humanity and beautiful lace creations from Ida Sjöstedt. I’m longing to wear light colors and get rid of my winter jacket!
PSL has interviewed Fanny about her solo career and included a live recording from the studio. She says that her and Montauk are more of a band now, in a few weeks we will see her first single and hopefully a video, and that her album has no name yet, but she likes ‘Blue’, which is also the name of one of her songs. To see what else she says, read the interview below:
She started in the hand-picked pop group Play that it was not too good, despite one or two here and a TV series. But Fanny Hamlin do not regret anything, but rather chooses to go ahead and do the, do the right thing. Now on his own, backed by producer duo Montauk with a debut album ready for release this spring. Meet FANNY.
Exclusive to PSL offers FANNY on a short live recording from the studio where she and Montauk at this now working on the upcoming album. What it should be hot is still unclear, but of course we are eager to hear more?
How was it that you decided to go solo?
- I’ve been an artist long and just over two years ago I came to a point where I felt a strong desire to do things my own way. When you work in a commercial forum as I did, it was a relief for me when I took the opportunity to create at my own pace and one hundred percent to stand for everything I do. I started this project in conjunction with Montauk with the vision that they would produce my solo album. It’s been a year and everything clicked between us.Now we see ourselves more as a band where I play the role of front man instead of being known as a solo artist.
What is the best thing about working in a band?
- No matter how you work so you always want to surround themselves with good and funny people. And with this project, it feels like you’ve found home a bit. That you can feel secure in who you are, what you do and can express themselves exactly as they want. It’s clearly the advantage of not being controlled by others to determine.
Who have you worked with on this album? And what would you like to work with in the future?
- As I mentioned earlier, I work with Johan Cederberg and Victor Holmberg in Montauk, and thrive amazingly well in the constellation. So probably we will have a long and glorious future.
If you would describe FANNY soundstage with an emotional state, which would it be?
- Liberation. This is a darker and more honest side of me. As my own shadow where my feelings and thoughts can live freely, without inhibitions.
What happens in the future, how much should we round out your ears?
- Now you sharpen your ears really really likes me! We are working hard on their debut album which is in the end up and will be released on our favorite companies Hybris in the spring. We will in just a few weeks to see a first single out and hopefully a nice video, if everything goes according to plan.Currently the album has no name. But I listened just on the way to the studio today at one of our songs called “Blue” and like the name, so it might be something.
